About the Pastors

The Rev. Dr. Charles D. Bang
Pastor Bang came to Holy Trinity in 1983 after having served congregations in New York, California, and Massachusetts. Called to the position of Senior Pastor upon the retirement of Dr. Matthew Winters, Pastor Bang became only the fifth senior pastor in the 125 year history of Holy Trinity Church.

He is married to Deborah Edds, and they have two children, Kathryn and Sarah. Pastor and Mrs. Bang reside in the City of Buffalo on Windsor Avenue. Pastor Bang attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.

Vicar Nate Preisinger
Nate Preisinger grew up in Glenville, NY but attended college in Northfield, MN. Nate graduated in 2008 from St. Olaf College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion. He currently is a student at Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, IA where he is enrolled in the new TEEM pilot program.

Prior to beginning at Parkside as the Vicar, Nate worked as the Mission Developer for Organic Faith, an emerging ministry that seeks to connect people to the church who have fallen away or given up on traditional church for whatever reason. Nate will continue to work with Organic Faith while at Parkside and is very excited for the all the experiences that lie ahead.

Nate is married to Amanda. They live in North Buffalo with their cat Mcadoo.
